4theloveofit8 was born out of pure, sawdust-covered joy. I’ve always had a soft spot for the smell of fresh-cut wood, the magic of turning raw materials into functional art, and the satisfying thunk of a perfectly finished board landing on a kitchen counter.
I grew up on Long Island, where creativity was encouraged and no piece of scrap wood was ever truly “just scrap.” Over the years, what started as a hobby turned into a full-blown obsession with grain patterns, resin swirls, and the tiny details that make handmade pieces feel personal.
Every charcuterie board, coaster, or cutting board I make is a love letter to craftsmanship—with a little personality thrown in (because life’s too short for boring boards). I work with exotic and locally sourced woods, mixing textures and colors like a chef mixes flavors. Except, you know... don’t eat these.
This isn’t just woodworking.
It’s therapy. It’s joy.
